Potencia Digital 2024
We participate with a talk at the first edition of this Extremadura congress on Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
With the return to the routine, the events were back to work, to uncover the latest developments in the world of technological innovation. In this way, September surprised us with a new congress, which managed to exceed the expectations of all technology lovers.
On 19 and 20 September 2024, Potencia Digital came to Extremadura to take a look at the challenges of the digital world and highlight the importance of continuous evolution. It presented a programme of talks, sessions and demos, where the latest trends in digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity, which are shaping the present and the future, were discovered.
Our Telefónica Open Gateway experts were present to show the possibilities of opening up the network. On the one hand, Chema Alonso gave a presentation on Artificial Intelligence and its possibilities, making it clear that ‘Bad guys also use AI’. On the other hand, Laura Lacarra, Head Developer Relations of the project, gave a talk entitled ‘The power of digitising: drive your company into the future’. She gave an overview of the current trends to transform business, including the global Telco initiative and its standardised network APIs. Read on to find out more about the event!

In an increasingly technology-driven environment, it is essential that companies and public entities join forces with emerging digital talent to make way for a more advanced digital society. This was the focus of Potencia Digital, a congress where different experts converged to pave the way for a more innovative world, without sacrificing security.
The event allowed attendees to explore the advances being made in three fundamental pillars: digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity. Likewise, the impact of these new technologies in the social sphere and the role of Extremadura (where the event took place) as a benchmark in the development of a digital ecosystem were also discussed.
Thus, over the course of two days in September, a wide range of talks, sessions and practical demonstrations were offered to immerse oneself in the infinite possibilities that technology offers.
The event was held from 19 to 20 September 2024 at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Cáceres. As we have already mentioned, our experts from Telefónica Open Gateway were explaining the benefits of our solutions, when it comes to giving way to a new generation of digital experiences.
