Open Gateway DevCon 2025

If you are not familiar with the project, you should know that, since its inception, telecommunications companies have managed large amounts of data from devices and network operations. This information can be very interesting when it comes to streamlining or making digital services more efficient, but until a few years ago it was only in the hands of the Telcos. With the aim of going one step further in the digital landscape, Open Gateway was born in 2023, an initiative that opens up networks so that developers and businesses can leverage their capabilities to create more powerful applications in areas such as security, connectivity and identity verification.  
  
Thus, with this initiative led by the GSMA, an industry-wide framework has been created that provides universal access to its capabilities through standardised APIs that work for all Telcos within the project. By creating a connection between telecommunications companies and developers, the process of deploying innovative services is accelerated, even on a global scale. In other words, it is a game changer, providing a unified approach to leveraging the infrastructure of the major mobile operators. Would you like to find out more? The Telefónica Open Gateway team wants to promote this type of initiative to make it easier for developers to access our capabilities as a Telco and to make it more intuitive for them to use our Network APIs. In addition, we will have the keynote "Code session: Onboarding to Cabify with Number Verification", by Laura Lacarra, our Head Developer Relations, and Pablo Villot, Principal Software Engineer Cabify. He will show use cases with Open Gateway in collaboration with our partner and explain how experience creators can make use of our tool to optimise applications in a simple way. We will also be present at the panel "How can operators super-charge the network API Community", with Irene Bernal, together with GSMA, Vodafone and MASORANGE.  
  
We will also be part of the Talent Arena Hackathon, together with Nokia's Network as Code. Participants will face a challenge in which they will be able to test the potential of Open Gateway APIs in a real environment, using Movistar SIM cards. They will be able to create solutions with better security, better connectivity and more agile user experiences, competing for the award for the best proposal.    
  
And finally, we will put the icing on the cake of Open Gateway DevCon 2025, with a CAMARA Community Reception meetup sponsored by RedHat in collaboration with Telefónica.
