Commit is a Spanish conference that covers different areas related to Cloud, Web and Machine Learning technology. This meeting offers a dynamic environment and two days full of innovation, to learn about the cutting-edge solutions available in the creation and management of software.
This year we had the opportunity to be part of this event, with a talk in which we told the news of Telefónica Open Gateway. Laura Lacarra, Senior Technology Evangelist for our project, spoke about the GSMA's global initiative and the possibilities it offers by opening up the network's capabilities to developers.
Discover Telefónica Open Gateway's participation in Commit Conf 2024
Open Gateway is a global initiative of the Telco sector, in which different operators around the world are working on opening our networks. We expose them through standardized, global and intuitive APIs; so that developers can access them, with a single development compatible with all the telcos that are part of the project.
In this way, any IoT development, VR glasses, TV, mobile or web can call on our capabilities and add advanced anti-fraud functionalities, improve the quality of service to users or obtain more information about its users. Furthermore, this call to the Open Gateway APIs is made transparently for the developer.
The talk we participated in introduced Open Gateway, explored real-world use cases and took a tour of the global roadmap. The session was aimed at developers, companies and startups that want to improve their applications or digital services, taking advantage of the capabilities of the network to solve their problems and improve their competitiveness. Laura presented how this global initiative changes app login with network verification, making digital services more secure against fraud and revolutionising connectivity in crowded places.
